The Sea Ray 400 Express Cruiser is designed for entertaining on a grand scale. It has a large cockpit with seating for all your friends, family, and a few more. Below is a spacious interior with two staterooms, large galley and generous storage. Ok, you don't have to invite everyone, but you can.
Beginning with the cockpit, you don't find many boats in this class that allow for as many guests as Sea Ray designed the 400 Express to accommodate. A U-shaped cockpit lounge begins at the port side transom door and extends across the transom, up the starboard side, and across to the center aisle. A large cockpit table in the center insures a place for food and beverage. Across the center aisle is a single seat and wet bar with ice maker. The occupant of that single seat is responsible for supplying ice for everyone. Forward in the cockpit are a double-wide helm seat on one side of the center aisle and a double-wide companion seat to the other. The helm features the Sea Ray expansive control panel with gauges and switches for everything at eye level and fingers reach. Added to the standard instruments is Furuno GPS & Radar. Recently replaced canvas, carpeting, and cushions give the cockpit a like-new look and feel. An integrated transom step and extended swim/dive platform with boarding ladder give Whole Sailor an additional recreation area.
Below is an example of why we build forty-foot cruisers. They have more room. You come below to an open salon with a real galley to port side and a sweeping dinette to starboard. The galley is not some cute little module found on many cruisers. We have a real galley with full sized refrigerator-freezer, actual counter space with cabinets and drawers. There is a three-burner stovetop, and integrated sink with cover, a microwave, and places to put "things". Across the salon the dinette has more curves than a starlet and room for six. It's a stylish and comfortable place to dine or just relax. Forward of the dinette is guest stateroom with twin bunks and sliding door. Portside is the large enclosed head with mirrored vanity, and separate shower stall. Forward is the master stateroom with queen-sized berth, hanging mirrored locker, and additional storage beside and under the berth.
Whole Sailor is powered by twin 340 hp Mercruiser inboards with a mere 550 hours on them. She will cruise at 18 knots and top out in the mid 20's.
