1989 Grand Banks 42 Classic
(LOCATION: Sanford FL) The Grand Banks 42 Classic is a highly regarded aft-cabin trawler that enjoys an unmatched reputation for beauty, comfort, and seaworthiness. With 1,560 built over decades of production, there are many to choose from but few as nice as this one. She features an bimini covered flybridge with sun deck, large open salon, and two staterooms to insure room, comfort, and convenience.
On deck we start at the top with a flybridge with new bimini top. The upper helm station is to starboard with 360° views. There's room for friends and family with guest seating to each side and casual seating aft. The sun deck has room for a dinghy. The mast with boom makes launching and retrieving a tender a breeze. Wide side decks with teak rails lead forward to the foredeck with bow pulpit, dual anchors, and windlass. From the cockpit here's a ladder down to the teak swim platform. Spacious decks allow easy movement and entry on either side to the salon. An Avon dinghy with Johnson outboard is included for thin water access.
The teak finished salon is bright, airy, with galley forward port side. The galley features teak cabinets, teak trimmed vinyl surface countertops, stainless steel sink, Princess range with oven, microwave oven, Uline refrigerator & freezer. Aft of the galley is an entertainment center. Starboard we have a large L-shaped settee with drop-leaf dining table. Forward we find the lower station with teak woodwork and ship's wheel. The open layout puts everything at hand.
There are two private staterooms. The aft stateroom features queen berth with large custom cabinet to starboard. There's an ensuite head with electric toilet, mirrored vanity, and port side shower stall. The large hanging locker has room to spare. The second stateroom is forward with v-berth with under-berth storage, and hanging locker. The forward head compartment has electric toilet, vanity, and shower stall.
Powered by twin 210-hp Caterpillar diesel engines, this trawler is designed for economical and dependable performance. Mechanical features include a Westerbeke generator. Three air conditioning units maintain interior comfort. Call now for more information and to schedule a showing of this Grand Banks 42 Classic.
